Nazca is a Peruvian city located in south-central Peru, capital of the province of Nazca, located on the right bank of the river Aja, a tributary of the Rio Grande. It is located 450 km south of the city of Lima, in a narrow valley at 520 meters. Nazca is much visited by tourists from all over the world who go in search of the famous Nazca Lines, geoglyphs composed of lines, geometric shapes and silhouettes that cover more than 1000 km2 in the desert and until today are a mystery for archaeologists, scholars and Also mystics in general. Discovered in 1927 by the archaeologist Paul Kosok. Several researchers have since tried to figure out how they were made and why they were there. They were declared "Cultural Heritage of Humanity" in 1994.
